How much does a LONWOOD machine cost?
We do not publish a generic price list, because the machine is built around your logs. The same model changes substantially in price depending on log diameter, cutting length, number of saw heads, motor power and the voltage used in your country.
Tell us three things and we send an exact quotation within 24 hours: the diameter range of your logs, the length you need to cut, and the output you are aiming for per day. If you also tell us your nearest sea port, the quotation includes freight.
Are you a factory or a trading company?
LONWOOD is the factory. Our workshop is in Feixian, Linyi — the timber processing hub of Shandong, China. Around 20 skilled workers build roughly 50 machines a month, produced in batches of about 25 every 15 days.
Many suppliers you find online are trading companies reselling machines built by someone else, which is why they cannot change a cutting length or a motor for you. We hold our own drawings, so we can. You are welcome to video call the workshop at any time, and before your machine ships we record a test run of that exact machine so you see it cutting before you pay the balance.
What happens if the machine breaks down in my country?
Every machine carries a one-year warranty on the machine itself. Wearing parts — saw blades, chains, bearings — are deliberately specified so you can buy them in your own local market instead of waiting for a shipment from China.
For installation we guide you over WhatsApp video, step by step, until the machine is running. The same channel is used for troubleshooting afterwards: in most cases a short video of the problem is enough for our technician to identify it. Spare parts can be shipped worldwide when a component is not available locally.
Do your machines have CE or EAC certification?
Not at present, and we would rather tell you that directly than claim a certificate we do not hold. Most of our customers in Africa, Southeast Asia and Russia handle customs clearance themselves, and we support that with whatever documentation is required — invoice, packing list, technical specification and photographs.
For customers in Russia and the EAEU we provide EAC certification support, meaning we supply the technical file your certification body asks for. If your market requires a specific certificate before import, tell us early so we can plan it into the schedule rather than discover it at the port.
Can your machines handle my type of wood?
In most cases yes, but the configuration changes. Our machines are running on acacia and eucalyptus in South Africa, on hardwood for charcoal in Nigeria and Kenya, on rubber wood in Thailand and Malaysia, and on pine and softwood in Russia.
What matters is not the species name but three numbers: the maximum diameter you feed, the length you want to cut, and how hard the wood is. Send us those and, if you can, a photograph of a typical log. We then match the saw head count, blade diameter and feeding system to your material.
Our electricity is different — can the machine still work?
Yes. We build for 220 V, 380 V and 415 V, at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, and the voltage is set during production rather than adapted afterwards. Simply state your voltage and frequency when you order.
The same applies to the rest of the configuration: cutting spacing, diameter range, number of saw heads and the feeding arrangement are all specified per order. This is the practical difference between buying from the factory and buying from a reseller — a reseller can only sell you what is already in the warehouse.
